Been ages since I last post something here.. Been extremely busy with work lately. Think I would need to explain it on my work blog But that doesn’t mean that I didn’t took time off to go around taking photographs I weight in myself the other day, and confirm I have dropped from 95kg down to 92kg. Lol, talk about losing weight while taking photographs. I guess it could be from all that walking and also the sun which pretty much made me sweat a lot. So it’s all good Anyway, this was taken from another flower album

On the 14th of June, Ru actually invited me to tag along with her friends Derbe, Cynthia & Joanne to witness the very last day of Gambier Street. It’s pretty sad though, as I was taking pictures of these places whereby the store owners are complaining that they need to move out because the government are planning to sort of extend the waterfront. And these poor folks were asked to moved even further away from where they stay. With the market gone, unfortunately for us we would need to head somewhere further to do our marketing.
A lot of good memories is the only thing that these hawkers would fully own or what that is left of their beloved old market place. I believed this market is over a hundred years of age, and it had to be tear down. I guess, the government would rather develop rather than preserving landmarks. Oh well. All the best to these hawkers in their new market place.

Actually after the photo shoot above, I went straight to church to participate for the youth’s amazing race. It was actually fun and very well planned. Unfortunately, we came in third because of the time penalty whereby my group lost the clue cards, we were penalized 20 mins, which enabled another 2 groups to catch up. Anyway it was fun
I just took this a few days ago, was suppose to go for an evening walk. But then, when I looked at the sky it was very pretty so I quickly rush back to the shop to get the camera and started shooting again. Hehe. It does feel good after a few days didn’t went and hunt around for stuff.. Apparently from my multiply album all of them like this picture. Anyway, there is a lot of room of improvement for me and I do hope that one day I could really be like those pro photographers.. Heheh.. As for now, I can either sell myself very cheaply or free. Forever Love

This album was taken yesterday morning, as I pretty much had a better time in shooting pictures. Went out about 7.45am and started to look for things to shoot. Anyway, from the overall pictures that I’ve been taking for the past few days. I’m more focused on objects, flowers or insects. But never people. Can someone please give me the guts to shoot people. Lol, I’m running out of ideas. Lol.
Anyway, while I was heading back to the shot. I’ve caught these two love birds apparently having their usual morning walk. These couple actually operates their shop a few blocks away from ours. I did take a front picture of them, but then I apparently just had to do aim somewhere else first to prevent any suspicion. This is my favorite shot for the day. Today I decided to take a little step further from my occasional journey. So went straight to the heart of town and have a look to see what can my lens actually catch. I still pretty much need more experience in shooting building and scenery, yet so little time.. Anyway, I went and sort of made some words of encouragement as lately due to the fuel price went up. Back To Life….

Sorry for the absence as of late. Was away for a seminar, and wasn’t really able to take much pictures due to time as well as space So for these past few days I took my camera along just in case there might be something interesting while I was walking around. For these insects pictures, I actually took this while I was heading back to the shop after putting the car in Star Cineplex. So suddenly bumped into these little fella, so I took a while to shoot a picture of this ant. Considering the fact that I didn’t had much time, so I went and quickly took this picture and went back on my way. For this picture, I tried and take it as close as I can (I was using the Canon EF28mm-135mm) and actually crop out the unnecessary sides thus causing the ant to actually size up so big. But in actual fact this is the actual size of the ant.
Anyway, thinking of getting either a Tamron 90mm f2.8 Macro Lens or a Canon EF100mm f2.8 Macro Lens. Whereby the price difference is about RM600-RM800. So still a little bit contemplating on getting either one. Cause it would be pretty cool to shoot these sort of things especially with macro feature on. But in the mean time I could probably do like how Ruey or Wombok did it. But it’s all good. Lol. But with the baby coming up, so you tend to think twice before spending anything. Hehehe.. Anyway, will make do of what I have now at the moment. And apparently I’ve already listed out a few things that I need to get already, just that waiting for some item to close on eBay. Hehe.. And hopefully my budget will not exceed USD100 for these things.. So it’s all good. Thursday Catch!

Ok. Apparently today I was slightly fortunate because I had a spare battery my battery grip ran out. Lol. Next time I’ll prolly be more careful before going out again. Hehe. Ok, so I got up about 7am, and took 15 mins to get ready for my first attempt on my morning walk. So I went out, and apparently the sun was already up and pretty much very hot already. So I started to move around and see what interesting pictures I can capture today. So instead of making a right turn heading to town, I went to the opposite side which eventually brought me to the wet market. During my journey there, I did stop a while and took a few more pictures here and there. But never really thought of heading to the market.

Upon arriving the market, the fish was actually my first subject before taking pictures of this woman here slicing and dicing the fish. Hehe. Apparently she was camera shy, and but of course. Have to act as if she’s really working hard before the owner actually came up to me and asked me what was I doing. So I just told him that I’m just taking pictures for fun, and who knows if there’s any competition I’ll just submit these pictures. Then he went on saying that, if you want to win competition one should not always take pictures of beautiful scenery but rather the dirty part of town. He even jokingly said that the Chief Minister as well as the Prime Minister will pay me heaps of money for these sort of pictures, so that I won’t even consider posting them. And told me it’s another method of “covering up”. Anyway, after conversing with him a few more mins I thanked him before I left the place as I need to get back to the shop. Before it’s too late.. But all in all, I guess sometimes photography does have it’s way in starting small talks. It’s all good. Probably I might take his advice after all, because he told me behind the market that’s where the real beauty is.. lol. Have a nice day.

Flowers

Went shooting once again this morning. Apparently it’s pretty much very hot walking around here in Waterfront. Didn’t really know what to shoot, but this flower suddenly stood out from the crowd. So I began to hunt again for flowers. But didn’t really managed to get many of them. Lol. Show that we need to plant more flowers

Anyway, trying to rekindle the photography passion once again. As now I’m trying to make a point to either do morning or evening walk, and of course to bring out the camera. Since lately been pretty much stressed out with a lot of things. Photography has been sort of like a place for me to hideaway, and clear my mind. It’s really good though, and plus it’s really making me do things which I pretty much thought of doing. So it’s good! Hehehe. I think I pretty much covered most of Water Front area.. I NEED A NEW PLACE TO SHOOT! Lol.. But it’s ok. Haven’t really been shooting people as well. Cuz worried they might clobber me or something. Hehehe.. But I really got to hand it to CK Boss. He really can shoot people, but I don’t think I can do that yet Oh well. It’s all good. Practice makes perfect.

Portraits With Canon EF50mm F1.8

Haven’t been playing around with this lens for quite some time already. If I’m not mistaken I got this lens at RM320 which was quite ok considering I had to get it in a rush before the Chinese New Year. And I heard that my friends who told me in Miri they are like selling it for like RM450 ~_~” Anyway, head over to eBay and find yourself a bargain there. Anyway, speaking of this lens. The very main reason why I love it so much was because of the bokeh (blur background) it creates. Whereby this lens would indeed make a perfect portrait pictures.

Noticed how sharp the images can actually be. I really love this lens considering it’s also cheap, I think this is those one of the lens one must actually have for those who have a low budget. Anyway, it’s been a while since I took this out and shoot, but unfortunately there is no macro on this baby. But I guess it would do. Speaking of which, there are a lot of nice pictures which have been taken using this lens. You can head over to flickr and have a look there. On The Streets

Here is the other album as promised. Currently there’s pretty much nothing around this side of town. Was actually on the way to collect business cards that was just recently made. So ended up bring my camera out to have a little bit of fun. Didn’t really go and shoot people as pretty much might get clobbered for that. Lol. But it’s all good.

This is probably my favorite shot in this album. Had suddenly got the inspiration to shoot this kind of angle. Anyway, will try and go around more if I got the chance. But so far I’ll probably linger around waterfront here due to the fact that I’m planning to have my evening walk around this area I’m getting overweight. So by doing so it’s like killing two birds with one stone.

I pretty much had fun editing these pictures.. Though I still pretty much suck at it.. But apparently it made the picture slightly nicer, compared to the original. The Love For Photography

Photography have been a really good friend of mine. Just too bad that I don’t really have the time to really go out and shoot things. Which pretty much explain why the lack of update on this site. Anyway, pretty much upset over a few things lately.. Fortunately for me Deluxe was so understanding and let me wander off to go and shoot some stuff to get my mind off the issue.

Anyway, even though editing photos do take up a lot of time.. But it does do wonders for me as well.. Lol.. I guess it’s all good.. Anyway you can have more pictures here on my Flickr Account.
